BASRA, Inc., dba the Bay Area Soccer Referee Association, is a 501c(3) Non-Profit organization. We are a local group of soccer officials who are affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). We have over 300 registered members, who serve the youth and adult soccer community in the Houston-Galveston Bay Area and throughout Texas South.
BASRA is dedicated to the continuing development of soccer referees. We provide a forum for our members to meet and discuss soccer, refereeing, and related matters. We also provide ongoing training and developmental assessments for our members. BASRA is proud that three National Referees and one International (FIFA) Referee started their careers with us.
We believe very strongly that a referee's first and foremost responsibility is to the game of soccer... to insure a safe venue for every player - regardless of age, skill or experience - to enjoy the game fully.
