When our girls were young, my wife and I took them on a vacation driving from Texas to Los Angeles, California and back. On each vacation there was one moment that seemed to stand out in our memory, and on this one it was driving into the city of Las Vegas at night. It was known as the city of lights, but we were amazed how it reflected into the desert sky. Years later while flying over Las Vegas, we were much more amazed at how very small the city was from the sky. The city itself was still just as large; it was just a matter of perspective.
When you are facing a problem, it can seem so insurmountable, but it’s all a matter of perspective. Even though it may not feel like it, God is still in control. The Bible says, “The nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance.” Your problem may be big, but God in His immensity can meet any challenge. He loves you, and His desire is to carry His children through the difficult times. As I write this, my prayer is that you will give Him your heart and trust Him today.
