It all started in a converted two car garage using a metal tub (seen in photo at right). A family on the way to accomplish the elusive "American Dream". Lots of hard work, energy, tears & frustration made it all come true. Not overnight by any means.
Both Manny & Hilda continued their original profession, working with a circus, while the two oldest daughters, Martha and Pati, stayed on at home to build the original business. The two younger members, Irene and Jose, continued their high school education. Soon clients started finding their way to our location.
Our advertising budget was limited. As the business grew, another family member, Catalina Khan, a cousin, joined the girls and learned to groom.
