I am happy to say CEHP is finally back on track once again. The engine my partner Jim Morgan had for his 1956 2 Door Post will be raced in my sons S-10 at http://abilenedragstrip.com/ exactly like Jim would have built it for his 1956. It will run mid 11's and will be run as a tribute to Jim for the first season while we get a new engine and the chassis ready for a little faster pass. We are also building a 1972 Nova for Kathy (Lee's wife) to race at the same track.
As for the San Antonio area, I am building an S-10 2 door Blazer as Jim and I had planned to just be a little different!! It will be a crowd pleaser when it is finished. As the progress gets started and continues I will have a page for you to follow the project of each vehicle as we build, complete and race each one.
Some would ask why do business with Competitive Edge High Performance!! It is very simple. I do not have the over head to pass on to my customers. I contract my machine shop work from a state of the art facility. I have over twenty years experience building race engines for the racers with a budget in mind. If you desire to race a car running in the 6's, then I have nothing to offer you. If you desire to run in the 9's and 10's and desire a dependable engine with minimal maintenance then we need to talk!! I am the owner and the ONLY one that will be assembling your race engine. I spent twenty four years in the Air Force so my work ethic is not in question. I build to the highest standard with you in mind. I will have an online store set up in the near future for your engine needs. I will say though, I do not have engines laying around to fill my bank account!! I will design and custom build for your application to include a custom camshaft grind if necessary. But they are built one at a time as they are ordered. So the turn around time is around 30 days. If you desire to settle for a Saturday Night Special with a limited performance range then please find them in all the magazines. All engines will be built with brand new parts and will be shipped complete from intake to oil pan. They will be supplied with an oil pump priming rod, custom built signature CEHP valve covers and detailed break in procedures. My online prices will start at $3895.00 plus shipping and the entry level engine will be over 400 lb. ft. of torque under 4000 rpm. So let's kick some butt together and win some races!!
