Please enjoy our areas for picnicking and walking. Please pack out your trash to discourage raccoon pilfering. We want you and your great-grandchildren to enjoy nature each and every day. Because we are a wildlife sanctuary, for your pets' protection, please leave them at home. Big dogs and cats can harm the animals we exist to protect, and little animals might make a good meal for a larger native Texas animal.
We ask that you hunt, fish and horseback ride elsewhere for the same reasons. Are we concerned that your horse will chase a squirrel? Neigh! We are concerned that horse droppings may spread grasses that will choke out native Texas plants we have worked so hard to nurture here. THANKS for helping us protect an area that has largely disappeared in North Texas.
