Formed in 1954, the Houston Civil War Roundtable is open to everyone with an interest in Civil War history, its study, and its preservation.
|
The Houston Civil War Round Table participates in several field trips each year, including the Hillsboro Seminar in April, the Deep Delta Symposium in June, the Texas Preservation Seminar in Hillsboro in November, and special HCWRT trips in the spring to a more local area.
Our specialty trip is our own Annual Fall field Trip, usually in October. As a group, we have toured major battlefields from Gettysburg to all those in Virginia, to Atlanta and environs, to many of those in Tennessee and the Trans-Mississippi.
We have been fortunate to travel with the consummate tour guide, world-renowned Ed Bearss, for the last several years. Our trips are economically priced and always include first-rate hotel accommodations, and professional and knowledgeable guides.
