Mark Collins - Founder
The founder of Southern Painting has been involved in the construction business for over 20 years, after graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980. That same year, he married his beautiful wife Vicki, and is the proud father of two teenage daughters. Among his various interests, Mark especially enjoys playing golf and sailing on Lake Travis, in Austin, Texas.

Southern Painting was founded in 1989, on the basis of providing home owners and businesses with professional, full-service interior and exterior painting.
Mark Collins started Southern Painting after finding a need for quality painters when he was in the real estate and remodeling business. The first office was opened in Plano, Texas, in 1989, with other offices opening nearly seven years later in Carrollton, Texas in 1996; Dallas, Texas in 1997; Ft. Worth and Austin, Texas in 1999, as well as Richardson/far North Dallas, Texas the same year; San Antonio, Texas in 2000, and Amarillo and Houston, Texas in 2003. To date, Southern Painting has over 200 painters experienced in all phases of painting and repairs.
