Home haunt featuring two walk throughs - scary and not so scary (for the little tots). Free to all.

The house is now over a year old and it appears that the good souls of the Lewis family have been lost forever. Family members have become the ghostly apparitions that haunted them last year. Research on the land the house is built on provides a glimpse into the horrifying facts that may help explain the Possession of Lewis Manor and the loss of the souls that lived within its walls.

Legend has it that in the early 1800’s, well before Rowlett was a city, the very land the house now stands on was home to a Cemetery and Morgue. Research and legend confirms that only the most evil and demented were sent there to be buried. It has been reported that the proprietor of said land and property, Mr. Myra Mains and his wife Urre Mains, would engage in inhumane and barbaric experiments on the dead, as well as any living creature, which mistakenly found their way onto their land. They would take in drifters, all of whom were never seen again. When they ran out of the dead or drifters they would prey on the surrounding townspeople. They started out first taking one or two people a month, but soon the abductions started happening on a weekly basis. The law, at the urging of the townspeople, paid Mr. Myra Mains a visit one fall afternoon in early September, but after a complete search of the property they were unable to find anything out of the ordinary. None of the missing were found and none of the suspicions of the townspeople was confirmed.

For about a month or so the disappearances ceased, but again, without warning people began to disappear in mid-October. On Halloween night the townspeople took matters into their own hands and attacked the Cemetery and Morgue and all those who lived (or died) within its fences. They found a basement hidden by Myra Mains in which horrible and gruesome experiments had taken place. Monstrosities were found and the wickedness that lay within the proprietor’s heart was finally revealed as truth. That very night the townspeople hung Myra Mains and his wife Urre Mains. Before the rope was tightened around his neck, Myra Mains cursed the land and whoever lived upon it. He vowed that his death was not the end but the beginning of a wicked horror for all eternity and that one-day he would return. The townspeople took no chances and set fire to the Cemetery and Morgue, which burned to the ground Halloween night. Gone were the misery and hundreds of tortured souls that had endured the madness and wickedness of Myra Mains. From that day on the townspeople believed the land cursed and no one talked of or ventured near the area again.

The land has remained unchanged for over a hundred years until early 2002 when a housing development was started. The Lewis family immediately sensed a foreboding gloom once they moved into the house. Now, a year later the family has become consumed by the entities that once walked that very ground many years ago. On Halloween night the house, yard and family make the final transition from reality into the land of the wicked and undead. Can you survive the Possession of Lewis Manor or will you be their next victim?
