Viva Rock Stars is an interactive live music calendar and band database. I launched version 1.0 in fall of 2001, then version 2.0 in September of 2002. My hope for the site is that it helps lesser-known bands build an audience; the theory being that people might actually take a chance and check out an unheard-of band at a small venue if they can hear some sound samples first to see if they like the music.
